SRA Holds Go Bag and Disaster Prevention Training for Employees

QUEZON CITY – The Sugar Regulatory Administration's (SRA) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee recently conducted a training session on the proper use of go bags and evacuation procedures for fires and earthquakes.

Administrator Pablo Luis Azcona emphasized the importance of readiness, stating, "It is good to have peace of mind during times such as fires and earthquakes, knowing what to do and training not to panic is essential."

Board Member, Millers’ Representative, and SRA-CSR Chair Mitzi Mangwag echoed these sentiments, adding, "Preparation makes all the difference in times like disasters."

In collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection's Project 6 Substation, participants learned safety precautions for fires and earthquakes. Protocols for before, during, and after a disaster were also discussed. Following this, the specific uses of the contents within the go bags, which were previously distributed to employees by the SRA-CSR Committee, were demonstrated.

The training concluded with an earthquake drill, followed by a hands-on demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers and fire hoses. The SRA-CSR Committee remains committed to socially accountable programs and projects that promote the welfare of its internal and external stakeholders.
