QUEZON CITY---Entitled, “Embracing Change: Effective. Empowering. Excellence”, SRA’s Human Resource Section spearheaded the conduct of a series of trainings whose target is to close the competency gaps of its personnel on November 28-29, 2024 at the Social Hall.

Key trainers from the DENR Central Office shared their knowledge and expertise on various topics, with participants from the agency’s Quezon City and Bacolod Offices attending, with the Bacolod office attending remotely.

Mr. Arvin R. Reginio, the DENR Chief, Statistics and Data Analysis Section, Knowledge and Information Systems Service, discussed “Data-Driven SRA” followed by Dr. Hiro V. Masuda, DENR Assistant Secretary, Human Resource and Sectoral Initiatives, who handled “Understanding SRA across Generation.”

During the second day of the training, Mr. Carlo C. Fajardo, the OIC Section chief of DENR’s Competency Development Section, HRDS-TDD, discussed the topics of “Leading Change” and “Coaching and Mentoring”.

Following Fajardo was Engr. Jeffrey Reyes, the co-founder and CEO of Twala, who conducted his lecture on a “Technologically Adapted SRA.” online. Lastly, Dr. Al O. Orolfo, the DENR Director IV, Foreign Assisted and Special Projects Service, discussed the “Integrated Management System” and “Occupational Safety Hazard (OSH).” 

As part of its focus on an empowered and knowledgeable workforce, SRA’s Human Resource Sector managed and collaborated with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Training and Development Division, conducting the training in a hybrid setting of both face-to-face training and online participation.
