Farm demonstration for technology transfer (1999) Juan Manaig and Rufo Delos Reyes - Farm demo with five technologies gave the highest sugar production with 168.17 Lkg/Ha, followed by fertilization based on laboratory recommendation and planting Phil 8477 with 146.21 and 137.50 Lkg/Ha, respectively.
Six technologies were tested at LAREC thru farm demonstration for technology transfer, namely: rate of fertilization based on laboratory recommendations; modified 'paltik' system of planting; trash management through detrashing; use of HYV Phil 8477; irrigation practices; and complete technology (combination of the first five). The demonstration with five technologies gave the highest tonnage of 107.120 TC/Ha. This was followed by the rate of fertilization based on laboratory recommendation and irrigation practice with 91.96 and 84.56 TC/Ha, respectively.
